BAIBA - LIGHTER album is coming out on 14.5

After we had to postpone the album release for a whole year due to many reasons, that everyone is pretty aware of, I am extremely happy to share, that the album will be released on 14.5

If there would be only one thing to take from Innsbruck based latvian artist BAIBA’s new album, it is that beauty can be found in the dark and tough days as much as in the light and happy ones. In her new album ‘Lighter’ she seeks for beauty in all of life's facettes, the pain and the joy. She celebrates the emotional roller coaster we call life with heavy drum beats, echoing synths and a generally playful approach to the whole production. 

While the track “Waiting” is a lighthearted favourite for warm summer days, “Let me come home” delves deep into sorrowful post-break-up days. The artists love for traditional Pop-songwriting is still obvious throughout the long player, although her newfound love for experimenting during the production process outweighs. The artist’s lyrical honesty, even bluntness at times, mixed with the diverse sounds of the songs leaves one with the impression of a very unapologetic, grown-up mission completed. 

All the songs on “Lighter” were written and produced by BAIBA, recorded in her bedroom. 

For the final touches she got some support from long time collaborators and local Innsbruck producers Christoph Holzknecht (CHRS) and Benjamin Leingartner aka DIGITAL YOUTH.
